im so unhappy with my dress its ridiculous. its so plain and i totally regret it now. i wish i could have gotten this pnina tornai dress (the pic of the dress with the top i want) but i could never afford it. Im wondering if the seamstress could change the skir to make it look similar.

I think it's beautiful. Simple is so elegant and different, with all the over-blinging in today's world!! Have you tried putting a broach on at the waistline on one side? I think that would look really nice and add just a little detail.

it has a brooch :( !!! u cant even see it lol this is the pnina tornai i love and wish i could turn my dress into. its very similar but the top is different and the skirt has layers on top of it. i wonder if its possible.

i dont like how the bottem of the dress is uneven but i love the extra poofs around the top of the skirt. im wondering if i could do something like that some how.

i cant imagine a designer selling just the fabric of the dress to the seamstress so i doubt its possible.

I feel so sad that you're unhappy with your dress. Definitely talk to the seamstress to see about the top. Even if she can't cut it so triangular like the Pnina, she might be able to gather it in the middle to give it more of a sweetheart. She MAY be able to get extra fabric - people get extra fabric to make wraps, so why not use it for a skirt?

I def think a seamstress can alter your dress, but honestly- i think it looks beautiful on you as is

Sorry you are so unhappy with it! But on the bright side talk to the seamstress, good ones can make miracles happen! I think the dress is beautiful now but work on it till you feel and look the way you want! You have time! GOOD LUCK!

ironically it is a sweatheart top lol you just cant tell because when i ordered it they said i should order it with 3 inches extra on top cause i have big boobs. and of course the dress comes and its huge on me. plus i lost 10lbs since i took that picture.

Thanks girls I hope you're right about the changes!

I totally agree with the broch, I was going to suggest the same thing. I think the dress is very elegant, I love it! I think you will look beautiful!

I also agree that the alteration looks pretty simple.

Technically they could.

I wouldn't. It really doesn't look like it will give you any support.

ITA with this - that other top seems flimsy, more so than a traditional sweetheart neckline. I'm sure you can figure something out with your seamstress. Good luck!

Once your dress fits you properly, you will see it in a whole different light and remember what you fell in love with about it in the first place! It's a beautiful dress and you will be a princess in it!!

I'd say you can definitely change that! And I love the little brooch on the side!

A good seamstress can change the skirt, but it is a very expensive change. Adding an applique or some lace could jazz it up for a fraction of the cost.

Also, most designers WILL sell fabric to make changes, just ask the salon so if you still want to change the skirt, go for it!
