Changing Wedding Dates

hey girls! happy new year! i had a question about postponing your date and whether you lose all of your deposits...

my date is may 20, but my dad has some health issues and is going to be in the hospital for a couple of months, possibly including the wedding day :( me and FH are discussing our options and are considering postponing a few months...do you know how that works? if you rebook with the same vendors do you still lose any deposits you've paid? or maybe it varies by vendor? i havent read over my contracts yet and will tonight, but just figured id see if anyone knows how it normally works...eeekkk dont know what to do :/

i would call each vendor and see...my cousin changed her date from a friday night wedding to a saturday night and from what i know no one gave her a problem,,,,the only thing is she needed to change her church beacuase it was unavailable during her new date...but i would explain it to each vendor and hope theyunderstand..good luck

Milleridge is my RH as well. Are you working with Debbie? I think you'd be able to change the date w/o too much of a problem - I would call her & see...
I remember her telling us that if we cancelled and she re-booked the room for that day we'd get our deposit back. I don't see why she would charge you another deposit fee if you're still going to be having it there

YES! talk to your vendor!!

trust me, i know what you are going through...we had to change our date too and our vendors were totally OK with changing it...and i didnt lose any deposits!

just be honest with them and tell them the reason, they hopefully will be considerate and understand...if you have any questions you can always FM me
