I love the idea of this but i find them very hard to look at with the first names overlaying the last name. Does it look less distracting in person.
I figured they must look good cause everyone seems to choose it that way in her photo gallery.

Re: Channa Plaque
As long as you get two good contrasting colors for the last and the background, the names may not be an issue. I chose a darker background and cream color for our last name... Then I chose a silver overlay to make our first names pop.

Thanks I know that it has to look good because there is not one complaint about it...hard to envision but I love the idea.

Re: Channa Plaque
She will work with you and do as many proofs as you want! I had at least 8!
I ended up going not with our wedding colors but something I could see hanging in our living room for years to come. Here is the final version!

Re: Channa Plaque
it all depends on the fonts and colors you choose
but if you dont like the overlay do it the way you like it!
and she will really give you as many proofs as you want
i worked with her for over a year! going back and forth lol she never complained once!

Re: Channa Plaque
I was concerned about the same thing and since I have a daughter I didn't want something which excluded her. I ended up buying a similar plaque but it's simpler. Instead of the names laminated or painted, it's word carved and I just used the last name. It's ivory with black lettering and we can hang it in the house after.

I agree....it's all about the color combo you choose. I just saw our proofs today and I love the way it looks. We went with earthy tones that match our home...I think it's more practical that way.
