Chapel or outdoors?????

Hi Ladies,
I met with my Maitr'd last night (b/c I went to drop off a payment) and we started talking about the ceremony (I am having it there). My dilemma--- The wedding is 9/26/03. So, that means it will be a bit chilly. The ceremony is on a Friday night at 7:30. (Cocktail hour 8-9, party 9-1am). I can have one of their beautiful indoor chapels OR I can have it outdoors (which I kind of now want to do now) . It will be dark but he said they decorate it with those outside lanterns lie at Hawaiian Luaus. The bushes are decorated with lights and he says evening ceremonies are BEAUTIFUL. He gave me an idea of giving people sparkles (like the ones on July 4th) as the walk down the ailse part. What do you ladies think???????

The outdoor ceremony sounds very romantic, but how will pictures come out at night? If pics wont be a problem I say go for it!

I say this everytime people mention sparklers...be careful with them...they could burn people!!! Don't want to be a downer, but I was going to do them, and tested them when we went camping one year. A HUGE piece came flying off and I almost burned my friend horribly...it wound up burning a whole completely thru a chair....it's a great idea in theory, but can be extremely dangerous. Imagine if that was one of your guests, or your dress or veil, etc...

If you're having a shorter ceremony, I wouldn't worry about it being slightly chilly. People will wear coats is all...I say go for the outdoors, cause you know the indoors is available if the need arises

The weather might not be as chilly as you think. I was married last September 23rd and it was 78 degrees during the day and about 70 that night. And that was the first day of fall. I had an outdoor wedding and would do it again in a minute.

I agree with the ladies. Plan for outdoors, and if weather's bad, then have the option indoors being available.

Thanks ladies. I think i'll do that. Plan for outdoors and just in case set up indoors. I am really likng the idea of an evening ceremony. Any more suggestions are welcome
