charging vendor fees vs. paying cash

I am attempting to stay on top of our budget and am concerned that were going to pay vendors in cash that actually could be paid through credit card...

Which vendors if any do you know of that will only take cash?

(ex, obviously I know that I need cash for the tips, and to get my hair done)

All my vendors required cash for final payments (or bank check). I couldnt pay anyone by CC other than initial deposits.

I thought ALL day of vendors had to be paid cash. All vendors that needed deposits etc.....I paid debit so I'd have a receipt.

I think it depends on who you use.. for example, none of my vendors take CC, except maybe my photog (but not sure) I was paying by personal check but now everyone wants either cash or bank check

Please make sure if you are paying cash that they do work with you on the tax otherwise they are pocketing the money. I saved thousands by paying most in cash.

Photography -- cc
Caterer -- cash & check
Florist -- cash & check
Band -- cc & bank check
Rev. -- check
invites -- cash
dress -- cc

Some vendors might accept some payments or deposits on CC, but I think most require final payments in cash. When I worked in RH sales we never took final payments on CC because once someone did and then CANCELLED the CC and disputed the charges!

We were able to work out with some of our vendors that we could make the final payment on CC but it had to be a certain number of days before the wedding.

When I booked my Florist and Limo I asked what type of payment do they take. They both take CC. So I asked if the final payment can be made by CC and they said yes, as long as the final payment is made at least 2 days before the wedding.

All vendors will require cash the day of. Otherwise, they can't be sure you'll really pay them. If you really want to pay by cc, you'd prob have to do it about a week in advance.

We left larger deposits and made extra payments in some situations to keep more cash readily available (for those who haven't heard FH is getting excessed from his school district because they are closing his school)
For example, my DJ asked for $100, we left $500 (our total was $1000)
We paid my 2nd dress in full by credit card rather than half in cash at delivery and still talked them out of the tax cause it was upfront.
My photogs were paid in full already through paypal, they asked for a third.
Flowers I haven't left a deposit yet (it's on my list) but I'm going to try to negotiate a little and ask if I pay more now if we can negotiate a little and see if I can leave more.
