charitable donation wording help

Was wondering if you have any ideas.....
FH and I are donating to a foundation that FSIL and FBIL started for their daughter that passed away in January called Butterflies of Hope instead of wedding favors. There is alot of fundraising for this during the year and being that it is family it means alot. Anyway.....i am trying to think of wording that is better than....In lieu of favors we made a donation in your honor...thanks for coming.... ya know????????
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you want to know more about Rylee her foundation is www.butterfliesofhope.org.

We think we are going to say something like ' In lieu of favors we have donated to the American Cancer Society in your name in memory of those we have lost including FH's father, and my 3 aunts and 1 uncle'.... we will def be cleaning that up more, but along those lines.
