Charity Donation as Favors

Charity Donation as Favors

Hi All,

In lieu of favors, my fiance and I wanted to make a charitable donation in the name of our friends and family. Has anybody else done this? I'm looking for ideas on how to present this information to our guests (ie: note cards, pins from the charity, etc.) so that they are still walking away with something to take home, but it's not a traditional favor. Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks!

My hubby and I did small favors with almonds and along with that we did donations.

We had T ess a make our donation cards and she did such a wonderful job doing it. She even put my dog on it (we donated to an animal rescue)

i just did this! we both have a lot of family who has suffered, at times fatally, from diabetes so this was a cause FH and i felt very close to. on the american diabetes association, when you make a donation for a wedding, you can get either table tents, bookmarks or scrolls wrapped in ribbon that they will print and provide you with a nice statement about the donation and your names and date. then you tell them how many you need and they send them! we ordered the scrolls so when i get mine in the mail ill post a pic...
hth!

We made scrolls and I tied them with gold ribbon. They were tucked into each guest's place setting. Very inexpensive to make...I just bought pink scroll resume paper from Staples and gold ribbon from Michael's, then printed them on Word (2 per page). I have pics in my DIY album
