Charity Event for 9/11
If anyone is looking for something to do for charity on 9/11, my BIL has organized an event with Windows of Hope at Tavern on the Green. Here is the info and web site:
TeamRed Charities presents A Gift of Hope, a benefit auction for the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund - a September 11th charity for the families of those who worked in the food, beverage and hospitality professions throughout the World Trade Center complex and were lost on September 11th. As a result of these tragic events, these innocent victims left behind over 125 families with over 150 dependent children.
Please join us Thursday September 11, 2003 from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. at Tavern On The Green, for a silent auction featuring dinners at NY's finest restaurants, hotel stays, golf outings, sporting event tickets, and autographed sports memorabilia. $75.00 donation at the door. The event includes hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine and soda. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Windows of Hope Family Relief Fund. Last year's combined efforts raised over $75,000.
