Re: cHARITY FAVOR
We're doing something similar. We are doing small sachels(sp?) of M&M's in our wedding colors, with a tag attached by a ribbon. One side of the tag will have our names and date, other side will say: (since we are doing a donation to Make A Wish) 'Our wishes have come true, now we're going to make someones else's- A donation has been made to the Make A Wish Foundation' And that's it. That is all we are giving out.

Try doing a search. You'll find so many ideas for this sort of thing. Some charities have programs where they supply you with scrolls you can give your guests explaining the donation as a favor.

Re: cHARITY FAVOR
I'm going to get small response/business card size cards from a paper store, and punch a hole for the string. I saw some cards that come in a sheet and fit right into your printer, so that's how I'm going to print them.

We also are doing the same thing for favors. I have done a little research into this. I have found that basically, all you have to do is make a donation to your choice of charity.. then you would have a little card or something of that sort made up all pretty for the favor. For example, you could go to a printing shop and have cards made up that say a donation has been given to .... in your name.
Log onto the knot.com. There are a few lisings of different ideas. I think this is the best favor of all. Good luck!

Speak to curly2003 about this. She is doing a donation to the American Diabetes Foundation and made a beautiful scroll.

Re: cHARITY FAVOR
Being a professional Fundraiser, we always welcome donations from couples, just a suggestion to add more bang to your buck...perhaps add the website of the organization your donating to. This helps the non-profit in getting the word out about their cause and guests can learn more and make a donation on their own if they chose.
Good choice!! (and don't forget that your donation in tax-deductible).....

Re: cHARITY FAVOR
My brother did that. He and his wife gave a donation to the Lustgarden Foundation for pancreatic cancer research. My father passed away from that 1 1/2 years ago. It was nice but, he did not tell anyone he did this and it caught us ( my mother and I) off guard. We cried for 20 minutes at least. (My dad passed 6 months before the wedding). I thougt is was a great idea after I got over the shock.
