Charity registries
I just posted about this in a reply to a thread on the 2011 board. It occurred to me that it would be a good thing to post here too, since most of us are in the process of setting up registries.
People often talk about doing a donation to a charity/organization that's meaningful to them as a wedding favor. There are some sites that let you incorporate a charity registry in with your gift registries, so that people can donate in your honor to the organization of your choice. Or you can set up your gift registry through their partner stores, and a percentage of your gift purchases will be donated to your charity.
I think it's a fantastic idea! When I mentioned it to FH, he wanted to register for charities and not for any gifts. haha
