For those of you that haven't purchased a wedding dress and want to do something good out there...
go to Sheltering Arms/Bridal Garden 54 West 21st Street Suite 907 (between 5th &6th Avenue) Appointments only 212-252-0661
They are a great charity that benefit disadvantaged children, plus you can get your dress as a tax write off.. which is a total win-win situation!
All of the dresses are donated, some are pre-worn dresses. I tried some on that were designers there like Vera Wang, Anne Barge, Henry Roth, Reem Acra and Ulla-Maija. Its almost like going to a sample sale, it all depends on what they get donated to them.

Re: Charity Wedding Dress
I got my first dress from 'Unique Boutique' in Moriches. It is run my Lighthouse Mission. When I went, all of the dresses were 5 dollars!! I bought one, that is very plain, but it is Jasmine (older style). It didn't fit me when I bought it, and still doesn't...hopefully soon! I bought it because it was so cheap....and I ended up buying another dress. It is very pretty though! I plan on giving it to someone that needs it (friend of family)...but I would def donate it if it wasn't going to be used!
