Charity/Volunteer Work

Charity/Volunteer Work

I have 4 days off from work (including Saturday and Sunday) over thanksgiving and wanted to do some chairty or volunteer work. I would even be willing to go to another state as long as I don't have to pay for the airfare (not sure how this works). Does anybody know of any type of organizations or projects going on?

The hospital I work at...is always looking for volunteers, and its right in Bayside, Queens.
Its called St Marys Hospital for Children, you can check out the website stmaryskids.org

Maybe find a soup kitchen and ask to volunteer for them

or contact children's wards at hospitals and ask if they need any volunteers to boost morale for the kids during the holiday

FH goes to a local Soup Kitchen through Church.

There is also the Long Island Non-profit organization that can help you find something to do. On of my co-workers is a member I can get more info for you if you like.
