Re: charmet in bayside

I went to charmet the other night to look at dresses b/c it is close to my friend's house. Besides that the sales lady went from annoying to rude, I thought they were soooo far overpriced! I live in Queens, but I am getting my dresses from Burtons. I picked an Alfred Angelo dress that was $215 at charmet and Burtons is charging me $118. I saw a dress that my friend is wearing (in another wedding) at charmet for $290 when she paid $250 at bridal reflections. I don't recall seeing any prices under $200 at charmet. I would consider shopping around, and maybe call Burtons for a quote - I can guarantee they will be able to get them far cheaper.

I have been to charmet and although I didn't buy my dress there I too thought that their prices were VERY inexpensive, especially since they include alterations in the price! Feedback that I have heard from everyone, has been nothing but positive. I know there has been postings on them before so I suggest you do a search.

I live in Queens and have been to 3 bridal shops and found that Charmet was the most reasonably priced not only for my gown but the bm's as well!!! Another thing that i love about them is that their seamstress is spectacular and the alterations are included in the price - how can you beat that!!!

I have bought three bridesmaid gowns at Charmet and have had a great experience every time. The alterations staff is incredible and so nice. I don't know about bridal gowns, but for BM dresses, the alterations are included in the price.

My mom got her dress there. One reason people may think their dresses are expensive is because it includes alterations. When I compared them to Macy's, Charmet was less expensive.

They are kind of over priced with what they have (as far as BM dresses and bridal dresses) there but if you need them to order something they will match any price. I dealt with Dale and she was really nice.
