Charting question...

Charting question...

No... not TTC, but I do have a charting question...

I'm just trying to keep up with what my body is doing.

I was charting when I got PG with my son, so I have an idea of what's going on, but this month my Luteal Phase seems to be 8 or 9 days long? Now I'm not 100% sure I ovulated when I think I did, but according to my cervical fluid and position I should of. I believe when I got PG my Luteal Phase was 12 days. Now, my period came early this month, late last month, and I think the month before was a little off. I originally got my period back after having Caiden right away. The eighth week after giving birth I was back to normal with my periods. It pretty much came around 3-5 days before my last period. Which was the same of how it's always been. Then a couple of times it came on the same day as the month before. I'm really confused about this. Now I'm still BF so I'm not sure if that will screw it up or not. Would Caiden nursing less often mess my cycle up a little bit? I'm just confused on how my Luteal Phase was 12 days, and now it's 8 or 9??? Is this possible? Why would my period be late, early, etc., so much? Can anyone help? I'm just worried about when we do start trying again, there's nothing wrong.

Re: Charting question...

That is a short LP Melissa.....Isn't Caiden nursing at night? If so, then you cannot take your proper temps because you need 5 hours of UNINTERUPTED sleep in order for them to be at all accurate. I have a feeling that your temps are off because of this and that is the issue.

Re: Charting question...

Well... I just started temping again yesterday. So last month I wasn't charting. That's why I'm not exactly sure if I did 'O' or not. My fluid and position seemed like it though. I really thought I did. That's what I was wondering... if my Luteal Phase when I got PG with Caiden was 12 days, how could it be 8 or 9 now since it doesn't change that drastically? I don't remember having any fertile fluid or position around the time that I might of 'O'? I'm only going by my fluid and position.

I don't get up during the night anymore. I don't go to bed until late usually, but Caiden sleeps through the night now. (So far!) So I'm nursing him around 9:00pm and then not again until 5:30-6:00am.

I don't know why it came so early?

Would Caiden's change in his eating schedule mess my cycle up a little? He's not nursing as often and not at all during the night?

how long is the Luteal Phase supposed to be?

Re: Charting question...

Melissa- IMO you need to chart at least 2 FULL months before you can start to see a pattern and figure out your O dates easily. I don't think Caden's feeding patterns will mess up your O dates though. I think you just need a bit more information to see a pattern.
A normal LP is 10 days if I remember correctly.
