Apparently if you have an iPhone, you can take a picture of the front and back of a check and it gets deposited into you account!!
How crazy is that?!?!?!

Is this the one of the bride and groom on their wedding night? I told FH that will soo be me, sitting there in my wedding dress counting all our money!!! That is really cool that you can do that!

Yes! haha, i was just telling the woman i work with about it and i like theres a bride and groom in bed counting their checks hahahahahaha

I just dont understand how they monitor that. who's to say that i couldnt take a ck made out to you and deposit it in my acct? unless they do like they do with atm deposits and hold the funds until they can verify everything.

It works the same way the new ATM's work. It reads the info and gives you a memo credit to your account...that gets verified overnight, and you can use the funds the next day.

YES!!!! I have been using it for a few weeks now. It is the BEST thing ever!!!! esp when i have to lug the 2 kids in the car just to deposit my paycheck!!! and I get my paycheck the night before its dated, scan it in and the next morning it is cleared!!!! SCORE!!!!

I'm a little confused with how it works. I have chase and an Iphone. Do I have to physically deposit the check after I scan it, or is the picture enough?

alls it does it takes out the step of the bank tellers scanning the checks. because that's all they do.. scan it after you leave so the machines read the numbers off it.
I've worked in a bank for a few years now... just like with any checks a bank receives it can still come back bad after the fact.. which is how problems are prevented.. it could just come back NG in a couple days and hit your account and debit the funds from it if it's not legit/not valid/no funds etc.
It just sounds like they're eliminating that step of physically walking into the bank.
I'm not sure if you're aware but your check never leave the bank.. they gets scanned, then destroyed usually in a couple weeks.

~~crashing...thanks for posting this! I had no idea about it and am officially excited. My company doesn't have direct deposit and I'm soooo lazy that I hate going to the bank every friday.
