Chatau La Mer in Lindenhurst.

Hi everyone!

Congrats to all. I've been engaged for nine months now and I still haven't decided where to have the reception. I hope you girls can help me. I saw the Vanderbilt Mansion and I loved it!! I saw the R ivieera and I like it but I am hesitant about the food there. I am trying to find info about the Chatau La Mer in Lindenhurst. but can't find a website!! Can anyone help and also if someone can give me some advise. Thanks a million......I'll be having a small wedding about 100 people. I've read many of the reviews here but can't find anything about the Chatau La Mer in Lindenhurst. Thanks for your help girls!!

For the last 2 years my school has had the end of the year party at CLM. The food is not all that good. I have left hungry both times I went. The ceiling is also very dirty. The decor is very 80s. BUT They do have a nice deck and the view is pretty. Look into John Anthonys same beautiful view, but the food is tons better.

chateau la mer has definitely made some serious changes and it is awesome. Forget a website go look at the place you wont be dissapointed

thanks for the info - but I need directions to get there from Brooklyn. My sister thinks I will like it - but The Vanderbilt Mansion is more me.....we'll see. Thanks for all of your imputs!!

def check out chatea la mer. They have recently done major renovations. I went to a food tasting there and the food is awesome!!!!!!!!! So, we booked. I love the water and you even get to arrive on a yacht as your grand entrance. let em know if you need any info. There website is not working now because they are waiting for all the renovations to be completed, which I believe will alll be done next month

oh, and the vanderbitl mansion, all it is, is a building on the campus of Dowling College. Food is not that great either

Just a question....why do you say that the food is not that great at Vanderbilt.....I am asking because I am curious to know if you went to a tasting or a wedding there.....Can you please supply me with a number for CLM? Thanks afain for your help!!!

well, my wedding is on a friday and it is a 125 guarantee. Which is not bad at all!

It Vanderbilt is Lovin' Oven caterers...apparently their are either two different vanderbilts mansions in LI or two caterers doing vanderbilt mansion.....THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE INFO 'EF HARXISTO'....(sorry can't speel in greek but can say asome words...lol)

do you know if they will work with you with the minimum...I will most likely only have the utmost....120 people or 100 people.....How much $$ is it pp?
