My FH and I just got back fromdinner at Chateau Briand . Wow! I am so stuffed. The experience was wonderful, they were very accomadtating also. We got the Shrimp cocktail(Huge shrimps and so fresh) , french onion soup (Delicious!) and Europa salads, (yum!) I had the Chateau Briand it was wonderful, Fh had shell steak, he loved it it came with potatoes and veggies, and for dessert we had 2 different types of chocolate moouse, white chocolate and raspberry, pretty good, and Fh had white chocolate moouse with regular chocolate wrapped around it- sinful!!!! We also had white wine with dinner. It helped clarify what we want to serve at the wedding(at least we will get to enjoy our meal, I heard at your own wedding you hardly eat!) and we celebrated my birthday early . I highly recommend going because it is a night out and try to go for an occassion.Just wanted to let all the Chateau Briand brides out there know.

Nice to hear
I'm not getting married at CB, but know lots of people who have. It's always a nice affair there-and the food is awesome. It's nice to hear that the vendor is taking good care of you. By the way, happy birthday and congrats to your FH for making it through the school year!!

Re: Chateau Briand...
Happy Birthday!! I am glad to hear someone took them on their offer of a complimentary dinner. Were you able to choose entrees that are in your menu? I can't wait for mine. We will probably go sometime next year. Which dessert did you enjoy the most? Can you tell that is all I am looking forward to!?!?

Hello!!! Can you believe I was still full the next day? The dessert we liked better so far was the white choclate moouse wrapped in dark chocolate. Thanks for the birthday wishes!!!!

Susanlyn,
When are you getting married there? I know another bride who got married there and she told me she went to lots of tastings, I'm getting amrried there in October and no one has told me or contacted me about tasting food there with them, when I called they acted like they didn't want to be bothered! They told me, 'someone will contact you' and so far NOTHING!!! I'm a little annoyed since our wedding is 95 days away, still have no idea what we want to put on our menu.

OK, I just called them and they told me they don't do that!!!!! What's up here?! She told me that they do a showcase, which I went to one and all it was a some fingerfood (chicken satay & pigs in a blanket) and they tried to sell us their 'house vendors.' Is it called somthing else you went to? I don't get it?!!!

Re: Chateau Briand...
Evelyn, I do not know of them doing tastings, they specifically stated that to me, that is fine with me, b/c on several occasions I have had their food and it has always been wonderful. I have only heard good things about them.

Re: Chateau Briand...
I was told by the BM about the tasting. Speak directly to the BM. Evelyn who did you talk to? Personally I have found that speaking to the receptionist doesn't get you too far. So I immediately ask for my BM and don't accept any other person. Another thing is COMPLAIN!! Once you start complaining they will accomodate you. BTW you don't actually get a tasting per say, you are able to go to the restaurant and eat food from there free of charge. I don't know much of the details-if you can choose items from your menu or not but the BM should explain this to you.

Re: Chateau Briand...
That makes a difference, we have gone there to have dinner on them in the restaurant Europa. It was not anything from our menu, it was what was being served in the restaurant that day. If it so happens that its something you would like and they are serving it that day, then you now know what it taste like.
All the best and happy planning
