Chateau Briand

Chateau Briand

I went to FH's company christmas party at the CB. I am not getting married there - but I thought I would review how it was last nite for the girls getting married there.

First off, the place was really clean and looked really nice. The bathroom was immaculate and there was someone in there taking care of us if we needed anything.

The party was in the room downstairs (Normandy room?). The room looked really nice!! There was sooo much food also. It was a buffet and I must say they overload you in food (which is a great thing for your guests).

Onto the food - the pasta is fresh, hot, and delicious! I am a vegetarian, so I had no meat but FH had the meat and he said it was really good. They have all different types of breads and cheeses - which were fresh and really good. The mashed potatos were made from scratch and they were AMAZING! There was so much other food there - everyone said great things.

There was 2 bars in the room with speedy service and good drinks.

Overall the service and food was fabulous, I must say.

Ok lastly, the bad thing of the nite. When everyone went to leave the valet took forever. There was a mob of us at the door and only 3 or 4 guys that worked the valet. Everyone was outside for over 30 min waiting for the cars and overall getting really annoyed. But the valet were really nice and WERE trying their hardest. - That was the ONLY bad thing of the nite.

So I must say the Chateau Briand exceeded my expectations for service, cleanliness, and food!! (Just not Valet, haha).

Thanks for the mini-review. I had my wedding there and my guests are still raving about the place. ♥

Just wondering if you had heard anything about their cleanliness in the past since you said you were surprised. I have never heard anything bad so that's why that surprised me, but it is good to know for future brides.

Clenliness is just a HUGE deal to me. I never heard that they were not clean, but when I was looking for the place where I was going to get married that was the first thing that I looked for.

CB is really nice - you made a great choice! The Scotto Brothers know what they're doing!!

Thanks for the info! My cousin had a huge expensive wedding and the only thing I emember is that the food ****** and they had tiny portions. We stopped at McDonlads afterwards so food is a big deal to me. I'm also vegetarian and so is my FH

Re: Chateau Briand

the valet thing can be expected anywhere. i asked this question when i was checking out halls and CB had the best answer for me, which was they purposely stagger the different parties so they don't all get out at the same time. this way, if your guests do have to wait a few mins for their car, at least they're waiting behind people at your party, not someone else's.
