Anyone have quotes from them for fall 2011? Just trying to get an idea of their price range. I liked the hall just based on the showcase last night...tried to talk to a BM but they said i needed to call and make an appointment. (even though when i called them during the day yesterday and asked if i would have an opportunity to sit down with a BM they said yes...but that's ok i'll go back and make an appt if theyr'e in my budget) thanks!

Yesterday was their big winter bridal showcase, that could be it. We had nothing but good experiences when we went in to get information.
As for prices we were initially quoted $110pp for a Sat. night, and it was a little lower on a Fri. night (tho I don't remember exactly).

i also wanted add-one thing i liked was that the rooms didn't hav windows. So if i were to have a daytime reception; people could still party and maybe not really realize that it's still sunny out! LOL

This is exactly what happened to me. Over all the encounters I had with the people who work there were not pleasant. They weren't helpful at all. Beautiful place but the BM I worked with needed a major attitude adjustment.

I've tried calling THREE times to make an appointment with a BM and 1st time i was told to call back in 30 minutes b/c the BM was with someone; and 2 other times i called back it kept ringing when they said they were going to transfer me. I was hoping to make an appointment to check out pricing & availbility. BUt i guess they're busy maybe they got a lot of interest from last nights showcase and are busy making all those appointments.

Chateau Briand is my RH and they honestly are GREAT people. Susan and Victoria are WONDERFUl!! Susan is our BM but we also met with Victoria and she's very helpful. I think that today they were probably extremely busy. I would try back tomorrow and tell them your interested in booking with them and you were interested in meeting with either Susan or Victoria. Good luck!!!

Re: Chateau Briand
My BM at CB is Dawn. She is absolutely wonderful and won't pressure you into booking something you don't want. She also responds to all her emails if you ever have any questions. She's a great help!

Re: Chateau Briand
Really? I'm sorry to hear that people have had bad experiences with CB. When I first called and told them I was interested in looking there they set me up with an appointment right away.
We met with our BM Tom and he was great. The next weekend, FH and I were still undecided and called Tom (to check on availability for a bunch of different dates) and asked to go look there again. Even though it was a Saturday afternoon (and we didn't give any advanced notice) Tom had no problem with us coming in again. We brought my parents, and Tom gave them the whole tour that he originally gave FH & I.
I'm not sure who you were dealing w/ but you should ask to speak to Tom.

I am amazed too. We ended up booking with Dawn and had a very positive experience. We definitely showed up extra times (unannounced) with FMIL and got the full tour again. She even answered the same questions over (FMIL didn't get the memo about what we had already asked, apparently). Everyone there has been nothing but helpful to us.
