Hi ladies! I wanted some feedback on the Chateau (both positive or negative experiences). I'm having both my ceremony & reception there this October. I've heard positive things about the Fox Hollow (We're staying at the Fox Hollow Inn the night of), but I wanted to hear about other's opinions regarding this place. So far since we've paid, we've gotten nothing but attitude from their 'Perfect Wedding Planner.' They haven't made me feel very special, I feel like I'm just another 'wedding.' Don't get me wrong, I don't expect them to roll out the red carpet, but I'm paying them to make sure I'm happy with their services and so far it hasn't been that pleasant, especially since they found out that I'm not using any of their 'house vendors.'

Evelyn, I am very surprised that you are being treated this way. I am not using any of their HRV and their attitude towards me has been nothing but wonderful. I think you need to speak to your banquet mgmr. Tell them how you feel, PWP are there to help you not harass you and make you feel badly b/c you choose to find your own vendors. They called me a couple of times and I told them I already booked vendors and they never called again or made me feel uncomfortable. I do agree with you, you are paying a lot of money and you are expected to be treated a certain way, red carpet and all. That is a service offered by CB/Scotto Brothers. Is there a specific person that said something to you directly??? I would let my BM know about this at once.
Hope everything works out. Happy planning

Re: Chateau Briand Brides....
My cousin got married there a few years ago and was extremely happy with everthing...food, service, etc. However, I did go to another wedding there last year and the person next to me found a safety pin in his pasta!!!! Other than that, everything was great. Good luck.

Re: Chateau Briand Brides....
I had my wedding there last year. They were wonderful through out my planning, and my wedding was magnificent. My family and friends are still raving over my wedding.
Good luck to you and all of the CB brides out there. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask.

My best friend had her bridal shower there a month ago and they did a beautiful job. The room her mother had it in was gorgeous, the food was great and the service was excellent.

I am having my wedding there in March 2004. I have not gone to the seminar yet for the perfect wedding planner because I have some time to begin. Who is your BM? I have Rob can't remember his last name but he is awesome. I haven't called him much yet but everytime I call and he is not there, he returns the call within the same day if not a couple of hours later. Speak to the BM. Rob kept stressing that to me. If we weren't happy to call him. Scotto Bros are excellent at what they do so don't worry about it too much. It will work out. Call your BM and explain your situation and how unhappy you are with your wedding planner. It won't hurt to do that. If that doesn't work, I suggest calling Rob and he will help you out. Who is your wedding planner by the way? I want to make sure not to get this person. Good Luck

Thanks girls! Yeah I guess that would be good to speak to my BM, I think it's Tom Wright, I forget the woman's name at the PWP, but this guy Joseph has been e-mailing me. I feel a little better knowing others have had no problems with CB, I hope mine was just an isolated incident. I'll let you know how everything goes, thanks again, I appreciate the responses ladies!!

Re: Chateau Briand Brides....
My sister got married there a couple of years ago and we were there in December for a christmas party and both times, everything was great. We are getting married at Westbury Manor. We went to one of there 'Party Planning Seminars' which was just two hours of them recommending their vendors. We aren't using any of there house vendors and haven't used PWP for anything. Come to think of it, I've never called them for anything and I've never been contacted by them. I get much more information from these boards than anything else, which is great because I have no idea what I am doing

I'm going there tonight for an end-of-term party for my school. I'll let you know! (service, food, etc.) Bear in mind though that it's not a wedding so it may not be up to par...
