Chateau Briand brides - are you doing a formal menu tasting?

We asked about doing a tasting as well but were told flat out they don't do tastings. But I've heard conflicting reports. If anyone knows id lovw to know to.

I did a tour there today and she said 'we don't do formal tastings, but we'd do one for you'. What the hell makes us so special? Nothing. Lol what kind of place expects you to have your wedding there without ever tasting the food?!

Me too was told 'no tasting' I did go to a bridal showcase and they had lots of food to taste

I heard if you make a big deal out of it they will....,it's scotto brothers they are known for their food, I'm not worried.

That sounds odd...

We had a tasting and we didn't have to make a big deal or ask for it. Now that I think about it I'm pretty sure I brought it up first (just to ask when we would schedule it and what happens if we hate the food lol) and they never mentioned that they don't usually do them.

Regardless, if you want one I'd just call and ask. The food at ours was great, though, so you have nothing to worry about.

We tried really hard to do a tasting, but they only have them during the week and if there are chefs there working for an event. It was just too hard to pick a date and time that worked for us. We really weren't worried about the food since Scotto has a great reputation, it just would have been nice to do.

A Monday evening is tough but they were able to make ours for 7. My FH is literally going to have to hop in the car as soon as he gets home from work, which is usually around 6, lol.

i had the same issue when it came to scheduling them. i was told that chateau wasn't an a la carte restaurant, it was only available to do food tastings before an event. we had our food tasting in feb & the food was great.
