Chateau Briand Brides-Went to a wedding there last week.

Went to a wedding at Chateau Braind last Thursday and it was very nice. The food was good; a lot of people didn't like the chicken but loved the steak, shrimp, and salmon. The decor when you enter the building was beautiful; however, some guests did find it annoying to have to go upstairs for the ceremony, downstairs for the CH and then back upstairs for the reception.

DH loved the cake; it was a vanilla cake with a chocolate filling. They also had ice cream sandwiches, which were very good.

Everything was good except the chicken during dinner and my chicken from the CH, it was very dry (sorry don't remember which chicken dish it was).

Thanks for a review! This place is in my 'list to see' halls.

Is it only stairs for going up and down? I have elderly people who this just wont work for.

Thank you for the review. Unless guests are older and or have trouble walking up stairs, it's a shame they complain about things like this.

I booked the Normandy Room which is on the first floor there so that my guests would not have to walk up or down stairs

They have elevators there..it shouldn't be a problem unless you're afraid of elevators.

Thanks for the review!! Still looking and I love the look of CB! Too bad about the chicken, this is the first time I've heard this about any of their food. Thanks for the honesty!

there is a elevator and it depends what rooms you choose for you reception all mine are one one level:( glad to hear the food was great i enjoy my tasting

All my rooms are on the same floor. They do have 2 elevators though. Suprised people complained about going up and down stairs. I have done that at many weddings but I guess it can be annoying. Suprised about the chicken though!
