Chateau Briand showcase...are you using any of the vendors?
Went with FW tonight, and we had a much better time than the one at Jericho Terrace. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone is using any of the vendors there tonight.
We liked the photo work of Cassarino Studios. We aren't ready to book, not in the slightest, but we thought they had good looking stuff. We also liked the table cloth cover that was buy the big lit up carriage thing. Though we though they were pricey for chair covers.
The great thing is, LovelyL liked CB room better tonight, and we got to talking about what we would like to do with it. It's definately in our final round, and pretty high up there.
If anyone was at the body rock performance, L sung a few bars of some song I never heard. (wasn't the wedding singer song)

Hey!!!!! FH and I were there! Shut up! Was she the blond one, or the one with the brown hair? I was in the front... FH and I actually danced.... I had a green turtle neck on and jeans.... Anyway, I am using Proline for my pics... and dont waste your money on linens... because what you will come to find out if you book, is that CB is in the process of putting chair covers and linens on permanently... so they will come in your package!!

Really? They didn't tell me that at all, about the chair covers. Thanks for that info, I'll ask if it goes further.
L was the blonde, I can't think of what she sung. I think I saw you guys get up to dance, when they asked people to slow dance, on the left side?

Yep! That was us! FH wanted to kill me for sitting in the front! LOL The chair covers thing is really a plus! They are also redoing the room,.... new rugs and stuff.... definitley mention it to them and have them put it into your contract.... what did you think of Body Rock? I thought they were pretty good... the sax player was awesome!

I wanted to go to that one!!!!!!!!!! I went last night to Watermill, It was a long long drive (I live in Freeport and traffic was HORRIBLE on the entire SS) anyways, I wanted to go to that one as well, only because I loved the job they did last night and I figured it would be just as good since they are the same owners but I didn't call to reserve and my poor daddy had been working since 4 am (He cleans up the snow in a bunch of buildings) and I needed to prepare dinner for him and it got late by the time I was done, But I am so glad both you and LovelyL like the place. Like always, keeping my fingers crossed for you two and PLEASE POST WHEN YOU HAVE PICKED A PLACE!!!!!!!!!!! BTW: you are right, Cassarino Studios was at Watermill and they do lovely work. I saw TommysTunes and OMG, they were incredible and soooooooooo nice!!! What other vendors were present

Tommy Tunes were really good? I'm torn between them and Body Rock... I havent seen Tommy yet!

That's great about the chair covers. I really want the chair covers but they are so expensive. I know Watermill gives us our choice of linens. Do you think the Watermill would do the same ?oooooooooooooh I hope so!!! I am going to ask

Yeah, she did!
I thought they were ok. I really haven't seen too many DJ acts yet. They were pretty good though. The sax guy was good, I thought it was a recording at first and he was faking it!

ASK!!!!! If not, I know my FSIL got chaircovers on line for pretty cheap... I will try to get you that info... I know it was a company in canada.... they shipped them here and she had her place put them on for her... then she had to ship them back... I dont know if you'd be interested

Mr Hostility...I am going to look into Cassarino studios too....I really liked the look of their work as well. The lady was really nice that I spoke with (I went to watermill) She got married on the same date as the one FH picked for us and we have the same name! Weird!

Yes, we're using quite a few of Scotto's recommended vendors -
Photo and Video - Cassarino. Razz is a really nice guy and he bent over backwards for us. FM if you want to know more.
Flowers - Chris, Perfect Wedding Planner. Chris is the Scotto's in-house florist, and he's just the best thing since sliced bread. Really nice guy, and very talented. I booked him on the spot.
DJ - Bravo Sound. I wanted to use an in-house vendor (because we'd already booked in-house for the other four categories so we get a $200 gift certificate) and I know one of their MC's. Body Rock is also excellent - Sergio is a personal friend of mine, but their prices were out of our budget.
Limo - Alexis. We got a good deal and the interiors were pretty.
I was really happy to see AliasPook there tonight - Nice to finally meet you.
Sorry I didn't get to meet the rest of you!

We are using a Scotto vendor for photography b/c we wanted someone very familiar with the place, all the mirrors, etc. - we chose Proline b/c we met with the owner and he was super nice. So far that's the only Scotto vendor we are using. We would have used Alexis limo too but since our date is so close, they didn't have enough cars for us that day!
