Hi- Did anyone go to the recent food tasting at Chateau La Mer? I thought the food was horrible. I was planning on having my wedding there.. now I don't know what to do?

If everything else seems fine, maybe you should call the BM and tell them what you thought and see if they'll arrange for another tasting. I've seen a lot of happy CLM brides on LIW.

i went too 1 a few months ago......my whole family made it like they liked it....then when i say i will go book they all told me oh we were hoping you would pick someplace else.....bc we all hated the food!!!!! im a picky eater so i barely ate so i figured id go by what they say! After that i decided it keep looking!

Wow- I'm shocked that you didn't like the food at the tasting. I had gone to 2 of them before our wedding and the food was delicious and all of our guests have been talking about how good the food was ever since our wedding in May. I would definitely try another tasting.

I would ask to go again as well- we haven't heard one bad thing about the food!! A lot of people asked for seconds at our wedding!

yeah when i went to a food tasting i went with FH fh's brother- who is very picky & Fh sister-in-law & they loved the food- they thought everything was amazing!!!

i have to say, the food there is amazing, im so suprised!!! anyone that is thining of booking therem go try the food, i have only heard excellent things and my tasting was awesome!!!! we even took home the leftovers!!

We're getting married there and when we did the food tasting (with FHs italian parents who are soooo picky) everyone LOVED the food. FH still raves about the filet mignon and stuffed shrimp. Call Nick and definately talk to him -- that sounds very strange to me. I've never heard anyone not like their food before

yeah us too!! FH and I were bummed that they didn't have enough room for our ridiculous guest list otherwise we would have booked there-- he and his friend wanted to WRAP up the food that they were too stuffed to eat and bring it home! lol it was so pathetic b/c we were stuffing our faces!! that's odd-- what was bad about it exactly?

yes!! exactly-- my FH says the same thing and he is the same italian picky eater lol-- he STILL talks about that filet mignon and I still talk about the cordon bleu mmmmmm

I'm all booked already- so I hope that's not true about the food! I've always heard great things about their dinners.... I guess I'll see for myself at the tasting- We're trying to go ASAP!
Does anyone have any favorite dishes from their CLM tastings or past CLM weddings?

Definately try the Stuffed Jumbo Shirmp and the ChateauBriand -- AMAZING

I went to a food tasting this past summer and I thought it was great. The only reason why I didn't pick them was becaue there are too far.
The staff was wonderful and the veal chops, fish w/stuffed spinach and stuffed shrimp was awesome. I couldn't even enjoy the chocolate fountain because I was stuffed
