I have been reading all of the wonderful things the brides have to say about CLM and I was about to sign the contracts when a few people I spoke with said the food wasn't great. They all said that they were there years ago so I don't know what to go on. I have never been there as a guest so can someone give me some feedback as a wedding guest in recent months?
I am scheduled to attend a tasting but my fear is that the food won't truly represent what my guests will actually be served.

Funny you said this - when I was about to book CLM, my MOm said the same thing... she said 'I was there a few years ago and the food wasn't that good'. Well we went for a tasting and the food was delicious. The food at the wedding was just as good. THey must have had a different cook or was under different ownership or something, because it's amazing! Everyone loved it! Trust me... the food is delicious!

I believe the ownership has changed hands. All of the brides that have had their receptions there rave about the food. I don't think you have anything to worry about!

Yes, my mom said the same thing too and then she went to an event there in March 04 and was like, the place is completely different, better food and rooms....she said it had gotten really run down. It was great.

CLM was one of my top choices...we went to a food tasting on 11/16 and the food was outstanding!!!!!! Great Service..Great food..you have nothing to worry about

Not quite so recent, but I went in '00 and '04 for weddings and I LOVED both. I can still tell you what I had for dinner at the earlier of the weddings - Chicken Francaise, which has since become one of my favorite indulgence foods! You've got nothing to worry about.
But I agree with 103005FallBride - come to WOTY!!!
