Hello I'm looking for some help. My Fiancee and I checked out Chateau La Mer last week and we fell in love with the place. I was a little concerned after readig some of the posts about the place on this board, but I also noticed the negative ones were from a few years ago. Can anyone who has been married, or attended a wedding there recently please HELP ME and let me know how it was.
The guy there Nick explained there were some management problems there 3 years ago or so, and that they have changed the place around and continue to do so.
Please we really love the place and are ready to sign I would appreciate any help.

My best friend had her reception there in 1999, and I have nothing but positive things to say about everything. The food was excellent, and the service was good. If you love it, BOOK IT!

I went there to look at it and they took me in to someone's cocktail hour in progress, which I didn't like, (I wouldn't want that done to me), also I saw on Fox5 not long ago, how they lost power several times during weddings, however I think it is a beautiful place. Maybe speak to the owner about what I mentioned & if they have new mngmt., maybe these problenms have been corrected. Good Luck

My cousing got married there about a year ago and it was awesome. Food was great, the place is beautiful. She had nothing but good things to say about them. AND she got an amazing price too!!!

My brother got married there last august, and everything was wonder - food, service, and place is the beautiful. They had an inside/outisde cocktail hour, they arrived by boat, and they had they room downstairs with the floor to ceiling windows. They have done some renovations last year and it looks much better. If you have any further questions, FM me.

The school where I work had a party there and I didnt eat anything the food was terrible. I actually left hungry. They may be under new management now though, hopefully they got rid of the chef too. Hope this helps you make a decision.
