...So I'm curious. I love CLM which we booked and I just realized that during this season they have pumpkins and scarecrows decorated everywhere. I am having my reception there next year this same month. Do you think I can ask them to get rid of them for the day? They're not my style or my family and guests style, I think it clashes with the 'elegant' look I'm going for.

Cacarina-- Yup, I was there last Saturday dropping off money and they have a 3000 llb (so serious) pumpkin that I'm sure they can't get rid of but there are little pumpkins and scarecrows everywhere especially outside. Not the best for picture taking. Maybe they get rid of them after halloween but I thought it was tacky. I'm going to call Lou or Tino and let you know...

...So ladies I called yesterday and Nick said that they wouldn't be able to do anything and he was sorta funky but today Tino called me back and said it'll be NO PROBLEM TO REMOVE THE PUMPKINS AND SCARECROWS!!!!
He assured me that there are non inside the building only outside and he'll get rid of them for me, for me to just remind him and obviously they can't move the 3000llb one but everything else will go!

I want to go see this 300 lb pumpkin. When we were in Lancaster on a pumpkin farm last month I wanted to buy a 200 lb one (it was only $40 or $60) and I thought it would look cute on our lawn. DH said no because we'd have to haul it from PA and how to get it in the car was an issue.
