Everything is soooo expensive!!!!!

The mashed potato bar is now a mashed potato and pork chop station and it's like $9 a person! The coney island one is $8 a person I think. We did the martini bar, I'm pretty sure it was $6 per person and if you want to ice luge it's $500

mashed/lamb chop is $12pp
VH is $7.50pp
coldseafood: $10pp

we switched the fajita station for the savory crepe station

do you know what alcohol is included in the normal open bar they provide? I have no idea what top shelf vs premium is. My dad asked about scotch and brandy..

The prices are crazy aren't they? I was shocked!

I don't remember what liquors are available for the regular bar, premium is Grey Goose, Johnny Walker and Don Julio. We got the OK to bring in our own tequila because FH likes Patron. I'm going tonight for my final meeting so I can ask what's included in the regular package for you!

2012er crashing! I am excited for those of you getting married at CH this fall and early winter. however, I have a question: are any of you incorporating DIY? My FH has been corresponding with our BM Sharon about non-floral centerpieces, and she said that we can have them (they'd be fiber optic lights) as long as the vendor signed a $1 million assurance policy. We thought we could do this ourselves without having to go to a vendor (and I can't think of a seller agreeing to signing an insurance waiver once we bought the cp's, or would we have to sign it.) Just very confused; we also don't want to use flowers. one more question, are chair covers included in your contracts?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I cant help out about the CP - we used a house florist as that was stated in our contract

i can tell you chair covers cost extra. we negotiated it in our contract before we booked bc i realllyyyy wanted them. i dont recall what the additional price was but i want to say its like $2-$3 a chair

yeah, i think that chair covers were like $2.50 each extra. when i booked, they didnt have a chair cover option so i couldn't get them thrown into my contract i would just be honest with sharon and tell her that you are DIYing your CPs, not using a vendor. It's insurance purposes that they want the vendor to sign the policy. Do you have a DOC? They should have insurance and you can have them put them together.

Let's say you have your sister, or your aunt put them on all the tables the day of, and then they get hurt. They just don't want to get sued, hence the need for an insurance policy.

i don't know about the centerpieces -- sorry.

i know all vendors need insurance though.

i had chair covers included in my contract, just in case i decided to use them. i don't remember the price i was quoted at off hand.
