we're doing our rd at the house my mom is renting and don't want to spend too much $$. does anyone know of any inexpensive catering places? it can even be burgers and hotdogs... something laid back and easy since we're not having a rehearsal!
eta: the house is in long beach so somewhere in nassau

We used fireside caterers for our eparty and they did a great job!! I'm so happy we used them. They're located in Suffolk, but they traveled all the way to Manhattan for our party. I highly reccomend them. they cooked ALL the food, served it, and it was great. All you can eat.
i'm not sure what 'cheap' entails but you should look at Calda Pizza (in Levittown or Hicksville). I go there with my family goes there all the time and their pasta is amazing! My favorite is the Gnocchi Gorgonzola.
