Honestly, I found payless to be around the same price as other places I've looked. For example, these shoes below are $37.99. Not exactly a bargain if you ask me. Edited to say not that $37.99 is a lot for shoes, but payless is not cheap compared to every other place I've looked.

I think you just have to shop around. I know someone else who bought those same Payless shoes above for same price. Even Payless knows they can make more $$ off Brides! I've never even seen a pair of shoes in payless priced at over $25 before!

Hazel's House of Shoes on Bell Blvd. in Bayside has them but I'm not sure how much $$$.

I got my shoes at craft shoes in commack and they cost 45, that seemed cheaper then other places.

I just bought dyeable for my friends wedding and I payed $36.99 and it is going to cost me $15 more to dye them. I went to Love My Shoes in Carle Place. They have a pretty big selection.
