So initially I thought that Nov was a cheaper month to book halls, but I haven't gotten any cheaper prices for that month. Is it no longer off season? I was thinking that maybe it's so early that the halls are just quoting the same prices throughout the year?
Sorry-all my posts revolve around reception halls!

Re: CHeaper months?
November is a very popular month, and i don;t think it is considered off season any more. December-March are considered off season.

Re: CHeaper months?
When I looked November wasn't that much cheaper December was a little bit cheaper but if you book Jan-March they are the cheapest. I think because of the risk of a snow storm. You should make sure because if you say 150 are coming and it snows I think you have to pay for what you told them.

Re: CHeaper months?
I looked at November and March. March was a lot cheaper. During my search, a lot of places considered December-March off peak.

I was really dead set on having a fall theme but with the $$ difference we are thinking about moving it up to March

Re: CHeaper months?
When I was looking Jan was the best deal. Dec-Mar is the off months. I got a good deal booking in March so I then picked the last weekend (as close to spring as I can get).

I'm getting married the Day after Thanksgiving, and I'm getting prices that are the same as June, July and Aug. Apparently November is very popular, but I reallllly want the xmas decorations.

Re: CHeaper months?
i'm doing february because we are getting our hall a helluva lot cheaper. and officially in most places in long island...from about Mid March until end of November is considered 'peak' and sometimes Christmas week wedding go up in price as they are becoming more popular.
