Cheapest time of year?

Hello ladies,

I have been a lurker for quite some time, so I know this question has been asked before. But, can you please provide some feedback and tell me, in your experience, what is the cheapest time of year to hold a wedding?

I know that by tweaking some details (day of week, time of day) that cheaper prices can be found. However, we are interested in a Sat night wedding in any month. Thanks so much!

Jan/Feb from my experience.

January and Feb from what I have seen. No one wants to chance a blizzard for their wedding.

Thursdays are by far the cheapest I've ever heard of, any time of year.

For prime days (weekend) you can do daytime and during the months of Dec-March are pretty reasonable.

January and February. However, I am getting married on a Saturday afternoon in November and it was cheaper than the summer or even September and October.

december is slightly cheaper - not the cheapest though - depends really, its pretty popular actually...

jan - mar are the best months if you are looking for a deal

Definitely the winter.
But keep in mind that if you choose a reception site that has fire places, etc. it won't be much cheaper because they seem to be in more demand during the winter months.

For the summer places off the water are cheaper. As for winter I would say on the water since its colder.

Late Jan- Mid Feb.
But it really depends on the venue, The price I got for Oct at my venue is the price for the year. (or so I was told)... Some other locations we went to were the same.

I agree. It all depends on the venue. The majority of places that I looked at all said spring was the most popular/expensive and winter being the cheapest. However, at Leonards, they said oct, nov is more and tried selling me August because it was really inexpensive.
