Go for it!
I've never had any problems using websites. I've never actually used cheaptickets. I've used hotwire and priceline where you don't know what you are getting.

I used them for plane tickets once, had no problems. I had to pick them up at some office in NYC (it was in 2000) so I am sure things have changed since then!

MY FH and I went to Mexico this year and booked through Jetblue.com. Most of the flights were direct, but they don't go everywhere. I think they had Aruba, Mexico, Bahamas, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. It was 500-600 cheaper than all the other travel sites.
