Thanks ladies! FutureMsDe, I booked it myself - I was gonna book through eCruises (an online cruise travel agency - they have offices in CT), but someone told me that you have a better chance of having your cabins upgraded if you book directly through the cruiseline, so that's what I did!

It's Royal Caribbean on the Explorer of the Seas.

As far as Haiti, it's the other side of the country, so I don't think it was affected.
