Check! - Cardbox

We finished my cardbox last night and I am so excited with how it turned out. Pics are in my 'Wedding Stuff' Album.

Also finished table numbers and formatted place cards. I designed my menus, but haven't started printing them yet, so those may not end up happening.

Love your cardbox! Im attempting to do the same thing - did you get all materials from Michaels? Would you mind letting me know about how much it all cost?

Im not super crafty so im wondering if I should just buy one at this point lol

I think the total cost was maybe $30, so it wasn't a lot at all. I'm not crafty at all, but my mom is so it was a group effort. The boxes were at Michaels for I think $25 (but we used the 40% off coupon). We just used two small bottles of acrylic paint from Michaels ($1 each) and the ribbons are actually BBB ribbons from my shower gifts. It just happened to match my wedding colors. The rhinestone strips are from Michaels but my mom bought so I don't know how much that cost. The top box has a pin from Earrings Plaza in the city for $4 and the bottom box has a hairpiece from a store across the street for $6.

The only tricky thing was that the pin & hairpiece were kind of heavy, so we took some pearl pins (also leftover from my towel cake at my shower) and used those to secure them on the box. Since the pins have a pearl at the head, it blended in really nicely.

I was so worried that we were gonna spend a lot of time and it would come out like crap, but it ended up being even better than I ever imagined. I do have to say that most of the credit goes to my mom, but overall it wasn't a very difficult project.
