check - day of coordinator

Well I met with a lot of day of coordinators and I decided to go with Christine from Piece of Cake Events. She has

bern great so far and I know she is going to make my day amazing

What is usually a price range for a DOC? What are their responsibilities? I think I may be interested in one....just not completely sold yet.

I met with a lot of them. The price ranged from $1,000 for the whole day to $350 for the whole day. Most were around $500 for the whole day.

I have spoken with a lot of people who have gotten married to see what they thought. Although most of them did not have a DOC they said that they wish they did.

The way I look at it is it is like taking out insurance. You hope you do not need it but if you do it is there. Of course we all hope that there are no issues at our wedding but things do come up.

For me I realized it was important. My sister is my MOH although I love her to death she is not a problem solver. I wanted to make sure there was someone who would be taking care of any issues and make sure I have no idea about them. This way I can enjoy the day and have no concerns.

They do alot more than help the day of,. They help with your timeline, confirming vendors, making sure everything is done. I have not officially signed the contract with Christine and we already have been emailing back and forth. I think she is going to be another great resource during the planning to run by things.

GREAT to know....this was deff a consideration. It may help me keep some of my sanity the day of. I will be looking into it. Thanks for the info!!

Omg congrats Mara!!! Its so funny u posted this b/c i keep contemplating getting one... I agree with u, i love my MOH but i dont know if she will be able to handle any thing that might come up, or be assertive if she has to etc..... I would love to have one but i need to see if its in my budget... Has anyone else booked one???
