SO my sister went to try on the BM dress I picked and she started crying, she a size 4 and the dress size that fit her was a size 10(she a needle) and is 2nd smallest person in mt bridal party, the dress goes up to size 24 and someone wears a 12, so am guessing this dress is out...

I think alot of bms dresses are cut small. I am a size 2 and the most recent wedding i was in had an 8 in the dress. They just run really small. Tell her not to be upset, that obviously is not her true size

This happened to my sister yesterday except she was convinced the sales woman was measuring her wrong. She's 95lbs and ordered a size 10.

BM dresses are just sized so weirdly.

This is so frustrating for everyone.....I wish the dress makers would make it consistent across the board.

Tell her not to be upset BM dresses are sized so weird! I know all my BMs were pretty upset about the sizes they ended up with too ... everyone was about 2-4 sizes up from what they usually wear. So everyone is cutting out the tags hahahahaha

One of my BMs is a size 6 and had to get a 14 in her dress. My other girls also had to get dresses that were way big in size compared to what they normally are. It all depends on the designer and how they cut their dresses. If you/they love the dress I wouldn't worry about the sizes.

please let your bm's know that these dresses run to traditional dress makers models. very few of us have perfect measurements (34-24-34) and since they have to order the dress to your biggest measurement, that may mean getting a larger size. Street sizes mean absolutely nothing and are designed for vanity- hence you can be a 2 in some cloths and 6 in others. Don't let the tag deter you from a dress you want.

Thanks ladies for advice, am gonna try to talk to her but she all the other girls worried now, but am gonna see if the cut out the tag thing works...lol

Ugh, yeah I had a similar experience. Be prepared, however, that apparently this is the standard in BM dress sizes. My sister is also a 4 and the 10 is the one that fit her...and made her look awful, but that's a totally different complaint. My plus-sized girls wouldn't even come close to fitting in even their largest size! Now I'm trying Bari Jay dresses. We'll see!

Same here.. I almost freaked when they told me what size gown they were ordering me. My sister freaked too, she is normally a size 4 and her BM dress is a size 10.
