Check out my DIY parasol w/ pic!!!

I just finished my parasol that I will use for my thank you cards.

I like it but I want to have the thank you bigger and include my date.

If anyone is interested in having the one I already made please feel free to ask and you can have it. There is a tiny rip and its aqua/teal colored.

I actually found a font I liked and printed the largest size that would fit on a paper. I then taped it to the bottom side of the parasol then traced it lightly on top with pencil and finally painted in the lines

It took me about 2hrs total from start to finish.

I am going to redo it with some changes. I think I may also do one for each of my bp with their initial too.

You can get parasols also from:

http://www.lunabazaar.com/

And they are $8.50 each.

Well, you did a wonderful job!!!!! And your method is vaguely familiar!!!!! A family member did my Fake Bridal Show sign, by first using Hallmark Cardmaker, to enlarge and make each piece of the sign, then, put a flashlight under an upside down aquarium, while copying the words that were illuminated. Great technique!!!! Mary MOB

Thanks Mary!!! If you need any other help let me know..I am full of ideas, lol

Well, I think Donna is finished with her wedding prep, but I like to pick peoples' brains!!! One never knows what ideas can double for other occasions. I had someone recently ask me where my ideas come from. I actually give credit to THE LORD for my ideas. I envision things in my head, then look for a way to make it happen. Without help from THE CREATOR OF CREATORS, I'm sure my creations would fail miserably!!!! When I see I'm having problems getting something to materialize, I pray and ask for help!!!! HE'S never let me down!!!!! Mary MOB
