I finally got my proof for my invites. I'm going to change the 'to' between our names to 'and' since it is a catholic mass. Since I am having a mass instead of a ceremony should I imply that on the invite?
I also wouldn't change the 'to' between you and your FH's names the 'and', I doesn't seem to me like that would make sense.
I have to agree. The way you have it worded is that they want you to attend thier daughters marriage- and who is thier daughter getting married 'to' (get what I mean)
Now if you want to change the wording a little and maybe use union or something that joins you both together.
Usually for the 'and' the wording is something like - together with our parents Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Mr. & Mrs. Jones would like you to share in the union of Bride 'and' Groom.
I hoped this helped you and I hope you don't feel like I criticized- I just know that you want them to be perfect and I just wanted to give you my angle.
Now- if I received one of your invites in the mail I probably wouldn't give the 'to' or the 'and' a first thought. I would probably just be excited that there is a wedding to go to!

The and definitely won't make sense...if I add the word uniting after daughter, then and make sense right? But then I use union after the names

Don't go crazy- just play around and you'll come up with something. Maybe if you go on an invitation website you can see how some things are worded and then incorporate your own in with it. These things are not easy and we are all here to help

I agree-the invite says the marriage of their daughter xxx TO that is the correct way not AND!
