So I heard an ad on the radio that they are offering a package for $10 a month and only $1 to sign up.

I thought this was too good to be true...but it is true!!!

They also have a package that is $20 per month with the $1 sign up fee that includes unlimited tanning. For those of you tanners out there (myself included) that is an incredible deal because tanning packages are so expensive. I called the Planet Fitness in Hicksville and they told me that they have about 8 brand new stand-up beds!

Umm anyone belong to the Bay Shore one or thinking of joining that one? FH wants to go there. I won't work out with him. LOL

I was just looking at this and this would be the one closest to me too. I'm already a paying member at Synergy, but I haven't gone in forever. I'd be willing to change over for $10 per month instead of $35 that I'm paying now. But I'd need someone to go with - that's the only way I'll go

the one in melville is right across from costco by the college...

I am going to call the melville gym in a few to see if I need an appointment to come in and see the place or anything

same here, i just called and you dont need any appointment to see the gym and talk to someone, just gotta show up!! I figure go in tomorrow, see the place then maybe sign up then workout saturday after work!!

everytime i'm in that shopping center it is ridiculously crowded. the gym is so freakin packed! haha

the bayshore one is super crowded...and wasnt there a shooting at that location not that long ago??
The melville one is maybe 15 minutes from the bayshore one, but I dont know where you are coming from so it may be a bit of a drive for you...

You can always bring a friend???? so then If I join my FH and I can always go together for only $10 a month... I have to look into it!!!!!!!

I'm between the melville and the bayshore one. My friends sister goes to bayshore and she has never had a problem with it. But she doesn't think they do classes.

FYI.. i just looked at the online agreement if you sign up online for the $10 offer...

It seems there is also a $29 annual fee and you can only go to the gym you sign up at!

It may be different if you go in person, but not sure..

I joined just today and for the $10 you can only go to the one gym and it doesnt include tanning/massage anything... for the extra ten a month to $20 you get free tanning, massage, you can even bring a free guest every time you go to work out....

the extra $10 bucks a month is worth it for what you get with $20 package.

I pay $35 for my gym here and $20 for the gym in CT Id rather spend the $5 extra bucks for 2 gyms and bring FH to work out on weekend on LI.

Not only can you bring a guest everytime with the $20 a month package BUT it can be the same person everytime!!

This works out great if you sign up and you want to save money and not have your FH sign up and plan on going together. You get the benefits of the $20/month (unlimited tanning, unlimited massage chair, half price drinks) but your FH does not get these benefits.
