Picked up my framed ketubah just now and i LOVE it

Where did you get it framed? is that the type with the glass that lifts? Is the frame very heavy?

Sorry for all the questions...our ketubah is currently sitting in the mailing tube and with 48 days to go I should probably do something about that haha

Thanks we got it from Ketubah.com (we got the 'classic' size and personalized with our names and it came to about $330 shipped)

No problem about hte questions I got it framed at Michael's when they had the 55% off frames deal. It was still $200 freakin' dollars but whatever. There's no glass at all as of now. They just got the frame and mat. We'll sign it at the ceremony (duh) and take it back to add the glass. It took about a week to frame, and they said adding the glass would take a day or two.

Oh, and it's not heavy ... just big and awkard to carry around.

I didn't have any problems with Ketubah.com - they were good and professional. They even require that the Rabbi AND you both approve of the draft before they actually print it. My Rabbi had issues approving (for some reason, he clicked the 'approve' button but it wouldn't go through) and it took us about a month to find this out. Anyway, the whole process took about a month or two. After that, we got the Ketubah really quickly (less than a week, i think)

I got the 'classic' size (which is actually an upgrade) and was 25' x 17'. I think any larger than that would be overkill. Smaller would probably be ok too (but not TOO much smaller)
