Pre Cana ended today with a really nice mass.
The priest took all of the engaged couples on the altar during communion and then had a mini breakfast with bagels and coffee afterwards where we all sat with our famlies adn talked about what our experiences were.
The priest and the Deacon, along with the married couples and woman in charge of the program gave us a frame with a poem in it that a priest wrote when he went to Japan when they were bombed
This priest was walking around the village and saw a woman who was in really bad shape, he sat with her and she said 'I know why you are here, you came to bring me Jesus' and he said this prayer, gave the woman communion, and she passed. I started to cry hearing this, it was so touching..
Nothing is more practical than finding God, that is, than falling in love in a quite absolute, final way.
What you are in love with, what seizes your imaginiation, will affect everything. It will decide what will get you out of bed in the morning, what you will do with your evenings, how you will spend your weekends, what you read, who you know, what breaks your heart, and what amazes you with joy and gratitude.
