Checked off my bridesmaid dresses and favors

It felt like it had been a while since I made some wedding related decisions so I made a couple today!

I went into the city yesterday with one of my bridesmaids to check out RK Bridal and Little Borrowed Dress.

RK was a little hectic but worth the trip. You don't need an appointment and you can go through the racks by yourself. You just have to sign in to get on a list to use the dressing rooms. They had a lot to choose from and we found all of the dresses we were looking for.

I discovered LBD shortly after I got engaged - they have a bunch of colors and styles to choose from and you have the option to rent or buy. Saving my bridesmaids some money definitely appealed to me, plus I liked their selection. I was worried that it might be too good to be true so I knew I wanted it to be one of my first stops. To cut to the chase - it was great, exactly what I had hoped, and I am going for it! I am going to let the girls choose from a few of the short styles.

I also picked our favors! I am going to make candles and include personalized matches with them. Something similar to this:

Since I am undertaking a pretty big DIY project here (making about 125 candles) I ordered the supplies tonight so I can get started ASAP.

These were two important and somewhat difficult decisions for me so I'm pretty relieved and happy to being making progress!
