Ok, Saturday recap.

Went to Pedestals, really easy to get there (FH and I have gotten a little lost getting places so great directions are nice), nice place. They were a recommended florist for my reception hall so we get $10 off a center piece there, but they just build it into the price, so its not like you ever see a discount. I think I would have liked to see the 'real' center piece price and then be told you now get 'x' off instead of being told its standard built in which makes me feel like you dont really save $10.

I think there were a lot of little things that rubbed me the wrong way there...

1) there was a centerpiece that i liked on display and when making my quote she just assumed i really wanted the same thing, but i didn't and the centerpeice was cleary meant for spring/summer and not winter.

2) they dont let you keep the price quote and do not include tax in the price quote

3) they pressure you to book on the spot

4) they seemed expensive and not proactive in getting the price i was looking for.


The Met game was fun, got some sun, they lost but they are still the best team right now so its all good.


Flower Michele-- (really easy to get to as well) I LOVE JOHN, it was like the best experience meeting with a vendor EVER. He was able to do for me exactly what I was looking for at a little less than what i had expected on paying, he included tax in the quote, he lets you keep a copy of what you discussed, the back up flower for FH is a great idea. We were the last meeting on Saturday so didn't really have an opportunity to disucss things with FH to book on the spot but planning on calling first thing tomorrow to leave my deposit. He's really great to talk to and helpful putting together what you want, it was a fun meeting and both FH and I left a bit giddy.


**So feeling a little guilty about not really having nice things to say about Pedestals, after seeing them they were alright but after seeing Flower Michele and comparing the two I just find Pedestals really lacking, I wish I could say more positive things but they just weren't for me***
