Let me know who you are checking out. I really want a band but I may go with a DJ because they are less expensive.

Good luck...I also just made an appointment with Starlight express for next week. I didn't think I would book a dj yet but seems like a lot of 08'ers are doing it now and I am afraid I will loose out on someone I want.

Ive pretty much passed all of the musical decisions on to FH. He is a drummer and apparently that makes him know more than me.

He already found a band.

So now I have to go at the end of the month to listen to them to give my final seal of approval.

But they are FH's uncle's ex-bandmates and Ive seen them before and thought they were great.
But now I have to listen again and pay A LOT more attention!

The band hunt continues!

Has anyone heard anything about Rhapsody? After Hours Orchestra? Majic? Live Wire? Mystic? I already did a search for the names, but has anyone been to a wedding where they've actually played?

I want to book my band before Christmas if possible... We'll see what happens there...

one of our friends had the band Code Blue and I thought they were great.

I heard from friends of mine that code blue and the touch are awesome bands ... but i actually have never been to a wedding with a band..

You should check out the band we booked, Soul Revival. We saw them play a friends' wedding last year, and thought they were amazing, they are all young, late 20's-30's and just have a great sound. www.soulrevivalband.com

Live music is important to me. So either we will go with a DJ and a Harp/Flute/Cello trio for the ceremony. Or I will go with a band/DJ combo and a band member can play at the ceremony. I got a price quote on a 9 piece band. I think that's large. I'm only having 110 guests.
