Hey I was wondering if anyone has looked into the Hotel in Hauppauge the Hyatt its the old wind watch. Im going to check it out on Thurs and there doing a tasting with me that day. My question is has anyone looked into it and is there anything I should expect cause the price seems to good to be true.
Any Friday from Jan-Dec -$100 pp. it dosnt change and they give you a pres.suite for the day and night/discounted rates for guests/and will keep the bar in the lobby open late for guests that want to continue partying/AND they use Alpine Bakery for their weddingcakes/You can pick out anyone and its included. See whaat I mean. Any feedback would be helpful.

Re: Checking Out the Hyatt for the Reception!
That is a pretty good price...FH's mother holds company events at the hyatt in jersey city right on the water, she suggested that place to us and it is beautiful and you have a great view of the whole city but i didnt want to do it in jersey...I am sure the prices should be very similar, i'll ask her about it and when i find out i'll post it here.

Re: Checking Out the Hyatt for the Reception!
sorry to crash....I am getting married next door at the Hamlet Wind Watch. I checked out the Hyatt also but I didn't like the ballroom downstairs...no windows. The rooms and lobby are beautiful so I plan on booking my OOT rooms there. You should definitely check out the Hamlet next door...it is on the golf course..windows everywhere...it is beautiful and reasonable!!!
Good Luck!!! HTH!

did you see the Terrace ballroom? its the old restaurant and it has ceiling to floor windows on one wall. I dont like the ballroom either. The Terrace ballroom is why I wanted to look there. Is the Hamlet as cheap on a fri night?

I didn't get to see the terrace ballroom. The hamlet is $89 pp for a Sat night in November. I don't know what the price is for a friday night it might be a couple of $$ cheaper.

Re: Checking Out the Hyatt for the Reception!
I got married at the Hyatt last month and was very happy with my experience.
The Terrace Ballroom is beautiful, we had our CH there. We had our reception in the main ballroom.
All of our guests raved about how good the food was.

I got married at a church. I haven't gotten the pro pics yet and the non-pro ones I have, really don't show much of the hotel. I'll post them once I get them though.

I haven't had a chance to talk to FMIL, but i'll find out this week. BTW she has the price for the one in jersey city which is right on the water and has an amazing view of the city, so it might be more because of that, not sure

Re: Checking Out the Hyatt for the Reception!
FMIL has prices but she has prices for when her company has parties there, not wedding prices so dont know if that helps...Plus like i said before the one in Jersey city might be more money since it is RIGHT on the water...Sorry

I didn't have my wedding at the Hyatt but my guests stayed there after our wedding and we had our day after brunch in that room. It is beautiful. We used Connie as our banquet person and she was GREAT! I highly recommend her. Good luck!
