Checking Places Out!

Sorry if this is a repeat for some, I put this in Brides 2013 and realized afterwards it was probably better for here! Forgive me! :)

My fiance and I are going to The Thatched Cottage next week and also planning on checking out the showcase at the Mediterranean Manor in February. Anyone have an experience with either of these places? Also, questions we should ask while we're there? I'm so naive about all of this!

Congrats on checking out RHs! We went to the Thatched Cottage and it was very nice. The views are beautiful. The inside is very traditional.

When you visit the halls, be sure to have an idea of how many guests you will have and also a price point that you are comfortable with.

Remember that all halls are willing to negotiate. They want your business and will do whatever they can to get it. Ask a lot of questions - How much of a deposit? What's their payment schedule? Do they take credit cards or cash only? What are the prices for vendors, children, perks that they offer? Tell them what you do like, what you don't like. For example, my hall offered to throw in a chocolate fountain, but I'm not a fan of them. So, we talked them into giving us a Martini Bar (ice luge included).
