Checks!
Hi Ladies,
So after being completely overwhelmed in the beginning, I have finally hit my stride.
We're booked for Oct. 7th, 2012 at the Chateau Briand in the Saturnia room. The price and guaranteed minimum the lady quoted over the phone was way higher than what we were quoted when we met with Victor, so I would say if you see a place you like, it never hurts to go check it out.
We also booked the florist, DJ and DOC within the last two weeks. We're meeting with a potential photographer on Tuesday. My first dress shopping appointment is on December 18th. MIL is supposed to be taking care of the Officiant, which she hasn't yet. But that's on her.
She is also 'deeply hurt' that FI's twin sister, who is pretty much estranged from the family and never calls her own parents, is not one of my bridesmaids. FI and I pretty much decided that he picks his guys, I pick my girls and we respect each other's choices. I don't know what to do. I already have one too many girls as it is.
FI is so helpful and we're proud of ourselves so far. He woke up yesterday saying he dreamt about the wedding all day (he works at night and sleeps during the day). So far it's been fun and I'm looking forward to the rest of the process.
Happy planning everyone!
