Chef Bachelorette Party -- Need Help

Hey girls

I'm doing some research for my friends bachelorette party. Does anyone know the name of the chef that comes to the house and teaches the girls to make a full dinner, etc.?

Do you know the web site? Have you been to one of these? Is it fun? Is it worth the money?

Thanks for the help!

ETA:
I remember one was called DJ Chef http://fourstarchef.com/bridal.html

but I'd like to know how much it costs and read a review of someone who's been to a party like this.

Thanks again!

I don't know of any that come to the house (Pampered Chef does, but that's a sales thing)
So maybe try the Viking Store in Garden City, you can go to classes there at the store.

I went to a really nice one at Appliance World in Huntington (414 New York Ave.). They have a beautiful kitchen in the back of the showroom-- looks like a kitchen out of a cooking show-- and they have two chefs from the NYIT culinary institute give you a cooking lesson. The bride picked mexican, so we learned to make (and tasted) homemade salsa, guacamole, quesadillas, arroz con pollo and flan. I think it was around $50/pp, including contribution toward paying for the bride.

edited to fix spelling!
