Chewing the furniture!!! AAAAHHH!

Casey, who is now 6 months, has never chewed the furniture before. She now has all of a sudden started doing this. We of course tell her no and give her a chew toy etc. Please tell me she will grow out of this!! My DH is so mad.

It will get better. He's probably teething. Did you try bitter apple spray? I also had some luck with tabasco sauce and garlic powder - depending upon the color of the wood. You don't want to put red tabasco sauce on white wood. Trust me! LOL!
Good luck.

also.. we give daisy an ice cube when she is chewing to much. I think it makes her mouth feel better.

Petco or any pet supply store. A good discount source is petedge.com.

Scooby loves ice cubes also. He sits by the refrigerator and waits for a cube to fall out of the dispenser in the door. It's so cute to watch him scoot around the floor after it.

spot test an area first... if you still have a swatch from when you bought it, I suggest using that.

Just a suggestion... did you ever think of crating her? I believe all pups are like a baby... You should always keep your Pup supervised. Crating a pup helps you tremendously get thru teething. Always Nylabones always help.

bitter apple was a HUGE help for us when we frist broguh Golem home! he was biting everything he saw, and we went through two bottles of that stuff :) He's teething again now, so we're giving him ice cubes and frozen chew toys to help ease his pain. Teething puppies = headache!!! :) Petedge is awesome and their prices for Bitter Apple are SO much cheaper than petco too! Good luck!!

ETA - Frozen Kong and the rubber Chilly Bone are both wonderful for teething puppies. We just got Golem the rubber CHilly Bone and he chews the he[[ out of it! He's a very agressive chewer too, and that Chilly Bone keeps him busy for at least 20 minutes at a time. So you should try it with Casey, she'll love it!
